Ok I think I got the core layout figured out! It finally feels somewhat functional for me, and I absolutely adore the floainng Sydney in the corner, ready to take you on a journey through time and space! I only got 3 main pages up, but there is far more yet to come!
In the meantime, I'm getting ready to release an album on Halloween! 🎃👻 It's called 𝙋ⓞꓤ𝖙@𝘓. Not your everyday transfem grime, but nevertheless an artpiece of time. I'm not doing much to advertise, becasue I have to finish the thing itsself first or the marketing I attempt will burn me out. It WILL be listenable for free on Bandcamp and YouTube.New code new site! Sometimes you just need to take a year and a half break y'know? I'm just getting the bare bones of this place set up, starting from scratch and making things up as I go. This little blurb window is where I'm going to note the updates I make along the way.
I've never bothered with an update page before, usually just making a whole blog post about any updates, if I mention them at all. But now that I got a coding app all set up, it should be much easier to edit and build with a live preview next to my code. 👩💻 I hope to spend more of my time curating my art, interests, & curiosities through web multimedia!
I've recently returned to playing with web code again! The last time I tried coding my own site was over a decade ago, in the early 2010's. Back then I had always prioritized social media because I was promised that was how money and careers were done. But I could never maintain so many social apps and algorithmic cliques. And capitalism is killing independent internet community and culture as rapidly as millenials kill boomer legacy industries.
Learning and relearning web coding as an adult now, waist deep in my burnout recovery post ME symptom onset after getting mono in 2019, then exasperated after catching covid during the omicron variant, is challenging and slooowww going. (thanks brain fog) But I'm finding joy in playing in html and css with no particular direction.
This website is a personal artistic endeavor. As ever mutable as air, things here will always be changing.
